Holy crap, it’s Wednesday. Where did the first half of the week go? I meant to post on Monday and never got around to it. Meant to post on Tuesday and then never got around to that either. So here I am at midweek and can’t remember what I wanted to write on either of those days.
So, what do you want to talk about?
The weekend was pretty awesome, as weekends go. My little niece was baptised on Sunday, but Emily and I drove down to Richmond a day early so that we’d have a little extra time to:
- Visit with the family
- Help the sister and bro-in-law clean their house
- Have serious quality time with my niece
I don’t know if anyone else knows this and I’m sure you all think that your children and/or young family members are pretty cute, but my niece is perhaps the cutest example of babyhood I’ve ever seen in my life. Not that I’m biased or anything. The thing that rules is that I’m really good at getting her to smile and, well, her smile is beeeeeyou-tifful.
Anywho, Saturday was busy but good and dinner out on the back patio was relaxing and wonderful. Sunday involved getting-up-too-early-but-what-can-you-do, visiting with the extended family, and then the baptism at the church.
A good time was had by all. Well, most. I don’t think the dog enjoyed being shooed out of the house every five minutes.
Other than that I bid a misty-eyed farewell to The West Wing and did a good bit of reading.
And the week so far? It’s sucked it; thanks for asking. The work parts, I mean. I can’t really say this week is kicking my ass, but it’s definitely jabbing it with something sharp from time to time.
What?
