Looking out my office window, I see that somehow it is both sunny and raining at the same time. This is crazy to me. It’s nice, but it still looks kind of strange.<\/p>\n
It’s approrpiate too. A nice li’l mirror of my mood right now.<\/p>\n
Sunny: Had a great date night with Emily last night. I bought her flowers because I am awesome and she made me smile because she’s awesome too. The food was ok, but more than anything it was nice to be out and relaxing and enjoying being with eachother. It’s good to remember to do that from time to time.<\/p>\n
Rainy: Had my usual “bi-weekly” meeting this morning. I use the quotes because it has a nasty habit of getting cancelled, rescheuled, and doesn’t really seem beholden to it’s biweekly title. (for example, the next one – next week). I’m included in the meeting because I am supposedly a subject matter expert and a capital-R resource, but I sometimes feel as if the other attendees discount my value. It’s the type of environment where I don’t feel comfortable saying no or that something shouldn’t be done becase then I am not part of their imagined solution and thus “part of the problem”.<\/p>\n
(that, by the way, is an exact quote from a company-wide email of days gone by. ‘if you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem’. nice.)<\/p>\n
So that’s my current weather forecast. A mix of clouds and sun. Overall though, the sun is out way more than the clouds. And it’s beautiful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
